As Ireland continue their quest to be at the FIFA World Cup in Russia in 2018, we are getting ready to host a World Cup of our own a little closer to home.

We are marking the beginning of the summer break for our small sided teams by holding the Belvo World Cup for our players aged 4 to 11 this Saturday, July 1st in Clontarf.

We are very proud of our North Inner City Dublin roots and the fact that close to 30% of our players now come from a Non-Irish background.

We have always believed football is a great way to integrate migrants into Irish society and also believe this hugely enriches the Irish football community and our club.

To celebrate the diversity of our players, parents and coaches who come from 25 different countries on all 5 continents, we are hosting the Belvo World Cup this coming Saturday.

All the players will be allocated a team representing one of our 25 constituent countries.

We are delighted this event has been supported by a grant from the Communities Integration Fund from the Office for the Promotion of Migrant Integration.

Our Junior Academy players will play on the academy pitch from 9.30am until 11.

Our Senior Academy players will play on the main pitch from 9.30am until 11.30.

Our 2008/2007 and 2006/2005 players will share the main pitch from 11.30am to 1.30.

We will also have music and a BBQ weather permitting!!

Please drop into Clontarf on Saturday for what promises to be a colourful festival of football and community spirit!
